About Me

Alyssa Wennerberg, LPCC

I am a first born daughter, sister, wife, and mom of two. I was born and raised in a small rural town in Minnesota. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. If I am not at the lake, or going on long runs, you can find me trying new foods, binge watching TV, or listening to a new podcast. I am an introvert at heart and enjoy a good cup of coffee while reading a book.

Professionally

I received my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at North Dakota State University in May 2017. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor ( LPCC) in ND and MN. My approach to counseling involves collaboration, curiosity, compassion, and creating a safe space that will allow others to share their true selves. I meet clients where they are at, so they can express themselves freely with no judgment. I am qualified to help individuals, couples, and families in many aspects of life. I have evidenced based training in Brainspotting, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Commercial Sexually Exploited Youth Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ( CSEC TF-CBT), Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and trained in 0-5 assessments.

I enjoy working with all ages, but specifically children, adolescents, and young adults. Prior to working at Authentic You, I worked at a local agency and had a variety of different counseling experiences. These included: intensive in-home family therapy, School Based Mental Health Counseling, and Outpatient Counseling for individuals, couples, and families.

Clinical Supervision

I provide supervision for counselors who are working on their licensure in the state of Minnesota and North Dakota.

I received my supervision license in North Dakota and Minnesota in 2022. I have been working 8 years in the counseling field providing services to individuals and families. I have a passion for providing clinical supervision and consultation that can be specialized to meet your needs. Please feel free to reach out and contact me for more information.
