I incorporate several therapeutic approaches depending on what best supports each client’s healing process.
Brainspotting is a therapeutic technique that helps identify and process trauma and emotional experiences stored in the brain and body. By accessing deeper parts of the brain connected to emotional processing, this approach can help individuals release unresolved pain and develop greater emotional regulation.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps individuals process traumatic experiences while developing healthier coping skills. This approach focuses on understanding how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected and supports clients in building tools to manage stress and emotional challenges.
This is a gentle, fast acting approach that helps people heal from painful memories, anxiety, and stress without having to relive every detail. ART works by combining calming eye movements with guided visualizations, helping your brain “recode” distressing images and sensations. Many clients describe it as finally being able to breathe again. The memories are still there but the pain does not have to be attached. Sessions are focused, empowering, and often lead to noticeable relief after a few sessions. If you are feeling stuck or weighed down by experiences you can’t seem to move past, ART may be for you.
